CLARIFICATION TEXT ON CAMERA SURVEILLANCE IN THE WORKPLACE

Legal Basis for Camera Surveillance Activity

The camera surveillance activity carried out by our hospital is allowed to record cameras in common areas, taking into account patient privacy in Article (49/6) of the Private Hospitals Regulation. These records must be kept for 2 months.

Execution of Monitoring Activities with Security Cameras According to KVK Law

Our hospital acts in accordance with the regulations in the KVK Law in carrying out camera surveillance activities for security purposes.

Our hospital carries out security camera monitoring activities in order to ensure security in its buildings and facilities, for the purposes stipulated in the laws and in accordance with the personal data processing conditions listed in the KVK Law.

Announcement of Camera Monitoring Activity

Our hospital has been authorized by our hospital in accordance with Article 10 of the KVK Law. In accordance with the article, the personal data subject is informed.

Thus, it is aimed to prevent damage to the fundamental rights and freedoms of the personal data owner, to ensure transparency and enlightenment of the personal data owner.

For the camera monitoring activity by our hospital; This Policy is published on the website of our hospital (online Policy regulation) and a notification letter regarding the monitoring is hung at the entrances of the areas where monitoring is carried out (on-site lighting).

Purpose of and Limitation to the Purpose of Camera Surveillance

Our hospital is subject to Article 4 of the KVK Law. In accordance with the article, it processes personal data in a limited and measured manner in connection with the purpose for which they are processed.

The purpose of the monitoring activity with video camera by our hospital is limited to the purposes listed in this Policy. Accordingly, the monitoring areas, the number of surveillance cameras, and when surveillance will be carried out are implemented as sufficient to achieve the security purpose and limited to this purpose. Areas that may result in interference with a person’s privacy in excess of security purposes (e.g. toilets) are not subject to monitoring.

Ensuring the Security of the Data Obtained

Our hospital has been authorized by our hospital in accordance with Article 12 of the KVK Law. In accordance with the article, technical and administrative measures listed in this policy are taken to the extent appropriate to ensure the security of personal data obtained as a result of camera surveillance activity.

Who has access to the information obtained as a result of monitoring and to whom this information is transferred

Only a limited number of Company employees have access to the records recorded and maintained in digital media. Live camera footage can be viewed by department employees and officers responsible for security and administrative tasks within the company. A limited number of persons who have access to the records declare that they will protect the confidentiality of the data they access with a confidentiality undertaking.
