Making Breast After Cancer
Surgical procedure: When part or all of the breast is removed due to breast cancer, plastic surgeons undertake the reconstruction of the breast in the same session as the cancer surgery or at the end of the treatment. This procedure can be performed with breast tissue from the abdomen or back or with breast implants. If there is not enough tissue, a tissue expander is first placed in that area and replaced with an implant after 1-2 months.

The general surgeon will provide information about possible discomforts after breast removal. Since there are many different options in terms of plastic surgery, it is not possible to list them all here.
Risks
- Risks seen in all surgical procedures such as bleeding, infection and opening of stitches can also be seen after this surgery. In surgeries where the own tissue is used, there may be circulatory disorders and losses in the tissue brought to the breast from the abdomen or back. In prosthetic repairs, the incidence of capsules may be higher than in aesthetic cases.

- Return to work 1-2 weeks depending on the surgery performed
- Heavy exercise 2 months
- Fading of scars 3-12 months
- Follow-up: The guidance of your general surgeon should be followed.
