He was born in 1963 in Bulancak. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Bulancak, Samsun. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and his specialty education at Samsun 19 Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. After working at Şişli Etfal Hospital, Kastamonu Taşköprü State Hospital, Lüleburgaz State Hospital, he continues to serve at Private Medikent Hospital since 2009. Between 1988 and 2020, he received vocational trainings in the USA, Italy, Hungary, Austria. He is married and has two children.
His areas of interest and expertise include cataract, retinal diseases and surgery, eyelid diseases, laser treatments of corneal and retinal diseases and kerato-refractive surgery.
