Patient Information Guide

As Medikent Hospital, our priority is for you to regain your health as soon as possible. This guide has been prepared to assist you regarding the services you will receive at our hospital and the rules you must follow.

Service and Appointment Hours

  • Polyclinic Services: Operate by appointment between 08:30-17:30 on weekdays and 08:30-13:30 on Saturdays.

  • Night Services: Night polyclinic services are provided by our Pediatric Health and Diseases specialists; additionally, MR, CT, X-ray, and laboratory tests are available for our patients at night.

  • Emergency Service: Our emergency department responds to all your urgent treatment needs 24/7 with its experienced staff.

  • Appointment: You can call our 24-hour call center at 444 59 39 to book a check-up or examination appointment and get information about our services. You can also book online at www.medikent.com.tr.

Things to Bring With You to the Hospital

  • Your ID card or driver’s license with your T.R. Identity Number.

  • If you have private insurance, your policy information.

  • Your medical records, X-rays, or previous test results.

  • All medical or herbal medicines you are currently using.

  • Patients planned for inpatient treatment are kindly requested to bring personal items they may need and any devices or special materials they use continuously. Basic needs such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and towels can be provided by the floor consultant upon request.

Inpatient and Room Services

  • Admission Procedures: Upon arrival, your procedures will be carried out by the patient admission/discharge officer. After your identity information is checked and necessary documents are prepared, you will be escorted to your room by patient admission staff.

  • Room Comfort: There is a private telephone in your room. A wireless internet system is available for patients and their relatives; you can get information from the inpatient consultant on your floor.

  • Meal Times: Breakfast and meals are prepared by the diet kitchen under the control of a nutrition and diet specialist.

    • Breakfast: 07:00 – 08:00

    • Lunch: 12:00 – 13:00 Dinner: 17:00 – 18:00

      For your health, please take care not to accept food or drinks from outside.

       

Visitor and Companion Policy

  • Visiting Hours: In our clinics, visiting hours are between 10:00 – 22:00 every day.

  • Rules: For your health after surgery, we recommend that you do not accept more than two visitors at the same time and limit the visit duration to 10 minutes.

  • Child Visitors: Due to infection risk and the potential for children to be negatively affected psychologically, children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit patients.

  • Companions: Only 1 companion is allowed.

     

Safety and Hygiene

  • Identification: An ID wristband containing information identifying you will be placed on your arm from the moment of admission; please keep it on until you are discharged.

  • Hand Hygiene: The best method for preventing hospital infections is hand hygiene. Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for 40-60 seconds or use hand sanitizers.

  • Prevention of Falls: Every admitted patient is evaluated for fall risk. A “SLIPPERY MAN” figure is placed next to the room doors of patients with a high risk of falling. These patients must not get up or move alone without calling a nurse.

Other Services

  • Place of Worship: There is a Masjid on the 3rd floor of our hospital.

  • Parking Services/Taxi: You can benefit from the hospital parking lot during your stay. You can contact the inpatient consultants for transportation issues or to call a taxi.

  • Flower Acceptance: Flowers are not allowed in the clinics. Flowers brought for patients are received by the patient admission officer or security and kept in the flower storage cabinet to be delivered during discharge.
