Dr. Nermin Duran is an experienced physician specializing in Medical Microbiology. She completed her medical degree at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine and earned her specialization in Medical Microbiology from Gaziosmanpaşa University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Duran has served at healthcare institutions including Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine and Mardin State Hospital.
Since 2020, she has been continuing her professional practice as the Head Physician of the Transfusion Center and Microbiology Laboratory at Private Medikent Hospital.
She possesses extensive expertise in clinical microbiology laboratory processes, culture, serology, ELISA, immunohematology, blood banking, and hemovigilance.
She leads the standardization of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical laboratory processes, quality management systems, patient and staff safety, internal/external quality control, and the coordination of audit processes.
